Sunday Ride

Once again my Sunday ride was cancelled because of the weather. What do I care if it rains Monday through Friday, give me a clear weekend please. I am sick of being forced into house cleaning because of the weather conditions. I have a Harley-Davidson that requires AT LEAST 250-miles a week ridden; and when I am busy all week and can’t take her out until the weekend I need it to not be raining.

All I can say is that if this whole weather situation doesn’t clear up by next weekend I am going to be sending a letter to someone. Well, on the bright side, I got to spend another weekend with my wife and son, so I guess I can’t be too upset.

PROJECT 365 – DAY 30

It is something I have been talking about getting since I got my Harley, so for Valentines Day my sweetheart got me the coolest gift around. Thanks baby!! Love you!!

Sunday Ride to Solvang

On Sunday, Baddog and I rode our Harley’s up the 101 to Solvang. It had been a few weekends since I had been able to get out on the road and spend the whole day riding, and let me tell you, it felt good. I left my house around 9am and didn’t get home until almost 8pm. The weather was a little chilly, but like my Dad always told me “it’s always easier to warm up, than it is to cool down.” Check out this video to see some of our ride home. Can’t wait for next weekend to see where our adventures take us. See you on the road!

What can be better than getting off work at 10am on Friday and have it be 60 degrees and clear outside? The answer is nothing. So obviously I took the Harley out for a nice ride up to the Santa Rosa Plateau. The reason I love this ride is because it doesn’t matter what time of year the scenery is always beautiful.

I rode by this guys ranch and noticed he had some cool looking horses running around in the front so I stopped to take some photos of them. One of them came up to me and let me pet him. Check out his eye. Pretty trippy.

I must say, even though it was a short trip today, getting out and viewing the world it is always an adventure. Can’t wait for the next ride.

A co-worker of mine recently sold his 2007 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide to pay for his divorce. It’s a sad story really, but that’s not why I’m here. He has a few different motorcycle helmets for sale and this is one I am thinking about buying. It’s a Jet II HARLEY DAVIDSON 3/4 helmet. The cheapest one I found was $125 and for this practically brand new helmet he wants “give it away” for fifty bucks.

He told me to use it this weekend and see how I like it. Just from the quick rides around town I already do. The face shield has 4 adjustment positions, which comes in handy when I ride to work at 1:45am and it’s 33-degrees outside. Also, when you have the shield all the way up, it doesn’t catch the wind and feel like it’s going to rip your head off.

This weekend we’ll find out how great it really is when I put it to the test on our ride to Stone Brewery in Escondido. I will definitely update you on my findings.

Passengers Welcomed

Today it was brought to my attention that some people have no intentions of riding; they strictly want to be a passenger. That, my friends, is why we are here. We are connecting the motorcycle world. I have been told too many times, “Geez, I’d really like to go for a ride sometime, I just never know when you are going.” Or, “You said you were going to take me for a ride.”

Well those days are over! To all of you passengers out there, if you ever want a ride or are wondering where the happenin’ spot is this weekend, just check the calendar of events. Let us know you are a passenger and we will find a rider for you to go with.

Changed Plans

Yesterday’s “quick trip to Los Angeles” turned into an all day event. We met at Baddog’s house and went to our favorite sushi restaurant, GuGu Sushi and Roll. I can honestly say that there is nothing there that I do not like. I was telling Baddog that over the past few years I have expanded my horizons, and sushi is definitely one of them. If you are not a huge fan of sushi I strongly recommend GuGu Sushi and I bet you change your opinion. If you don’t believe me go try it for yourself. Ask for Song and tell him I sent you.

So today instead of a trip out to Orange County, I decided that I would stay local and enjoy all that the Inland Empire has to offer. We started today with a nice brunch at the local Mexican restaurant. Then we cruised to Ponte and enjoyed the 75-degree day. I must say, there is nothing better than being able to wear jeans and a t-shirt in January. Don’t believe me? Look at what Tanya is going through.
